Hi there! My name is Matt Howell. I’ve had the pleasure of writing for Creative Campbellville for more than two years and it’s been an incredible experience. I’m a print and broadcast-journalism graduate, who has written for a variety of publications, covering a diverse array of topics.

Writing has always been something that has accompanied me through life since I first understood the concept. Reading and writing always came easier to me than other parts of life. I started writing short stories when I was 8-years-old. The main protagonist of most of those stories was a private detective by the name of Matt Danger. He embodied many of the attributes that I wish I had at the time, or wanted to have when I got older. As a child who had some struggles early in life, writing stories gave me an outlet and an escape from the outside world. That’s what writing has always meant to me – freedom.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually behind my drum set or reading a book. I also enjoy horror movies and documentaries, if I can find the time and dedication to be able to sit down long enough to make it through one, as I’m a pretty energetic person who prefers to stay on the move. I play baseball in the summer and bowl in a bowling league during the winter. I live with my beautiful girlfriend, Jen, and her awesome daughter, Ivy. We also have four cats and my best-friend with four legs, Carolanne. She’s part Collie and part German Shepherd. Our house can be an occasionally chaotic place, but it’s filled with love, music, art and laughter.

Through writing for Creative Campbellville, I’ve been able to help create content for a range of different and amazing companies. Helping to tell stories and educate their customers is an unbelievably satisfying and rewarding process. Two clients in particular, Fusion Stone and Refined Painting, I’ve really enjoyed working with and have been writing SEO content for them virtually since I started with CC. It’s been a true pleasure to see them grow over the past two years, and the feelings I’ve gotten from garnering their trust cannot be fully explained.
